- The Feedback Model. – By following a polite and respectful feedback model, you will ensure that rapport remains high with your customers as well as their motivation after difficult developmental issues are addressed without confrontation.
- Advanced techniques in strength work and CV work.- Well known strength training sequencies for developing specific muscle groups are taught so that the development of the body’s muscles are done safely as well as in a timely manner in the lead up to an event. Stressed threshold training with precise heart rate guidance is taught as well as other factors that influence the gradual push to working aerobically at 98-99% heart rate maximum. An absolute necessity in training to win the Octathalon.
- Training intensity variations.- Understanding how to recognise and set workouts that vary with the correct intensity in the build up to an Octathalon. This is with a view to controlling peaking on successive weeks. The use of excess post-exercise oxygen consumption (EPOC) in balancing intensity of workouts is also covered.

- Emotions and exercise. – Handling emotional responses and predicting cycles in finely tuned Octathaletes for optimum performances. A look at the mind/ body connection in more detail with practical awareness sessions.
- Ki Energy and Ki exercises. – Enhanced visualisation and kinaesthetic techniques for greater mind body control. Mental techniques to establish a calm and focussed mind before an event so that race preparations can be more effective.
- Advanced N.L.P. techniques. – for training all gym members more successfully. This includes the implementation of successful motivation strategies, eliminating customer fears and an understanding of energy relationships in the provision of added customer value. Several N.L.P. tools can be taught to delegates of this course and these are dependent on a gyms own requirements and needs.
