The Octathalon Induction Handbook

|
3. The Induction course gives you guided instruction along with demonstrations in an environment where you can learn and improve your style in rowing, cycling and running which makes it great for beginners or newcomers to gyms. |
4. Its strong, precise, heart rate focus offers you the security of knowledge that the training will be correct for you at your stage of development of health and fitness. You will not be over or under trained whatever your goals as the course is so flexible in its structure it can accommodate every gym member individual needs. |
 |
5. The course also comes with your own personal Induction handbook. Some people train and record everything that they do in a training diary. Over the many years of investigation, none of these people had planned and structured training goals and most were just a brief and poorly measured record of what they did from day to day. The Induction handbook offers the beginner and serious trainer so much more. For the beginner the measurable progress sustains motivation during those periods that you do not feel you are getting anywhere and this helps you through these times and on to reach your goals. For the serious trainer, the induction handbook follows a structured process of training in the lead up to an Octathalon event or course run through. If you indulge in other sports you will notice how much your improved levels of fitness gives your greater enjoyment of your other sports as well as adding to your ability.

6. The Induction Course ends with a run through of either the short or club or cup course and that is when you will discover its greatest secret.
7. Aside from getting you fitter and healthier, it will also be fun. You will train and work in pairs that change from week to week and sometimes in groups of 4 or 8. With 8 people to a course you will meet new friends and colleagues to discuss your training and your goals, you might even find future training partners.
8. Lastly on completion of the course you will have a recognised qualified time for the Octathalon. If it is the club course or cup course you have done, you will also have a recognised handicap and you will then be eligible to compete locally against other local clubs in a handicap Octathalon event organised by your trainer. With a recognised time, why not check out how that compares to those of the best on the website. You just might even want to go on and compete yourself in the National Octathalon either in a team, a pair or as an Individual. Whatever your choice, you may, like others, choose to do the whole course again and rise to an even higher level of fitness and eventually, even, develop an incredible shape like some of our top Octathaletes. |
