JACQUI MACQUISTEN

Jacqui is the current Women's Octathalon champion and has won the event for the last four years and currently holds the record for the fastest time for the Octathalon course of 10m 59s.

 

Jacqui's sporting life began with Gymnastics where she reached a standard to compete internationally in Europe. After that she taught aerobics for 5 years and was one of the South West's top teachers. She competed in National Aerobic competitions as well as being a county standard cross country runner.

Jacqui started competing in gym competitions over 12 years ago and regularly trained with some of the fittest Royal Marine Physical Training Instructors for over 7 years at their Commando camp gym in Lympstone in Devon.

She holds the fastest time for the Womens Octathalon Cup course of 10mins 59 secs. For 2 years (2006 & 2007) she also won the Health Club Games and in 2006 she won the International Best of the Best competition in Dubai beating tough competition from all around the World.

Jacqui has also done modelling for various fitness magazines over the last 10 years

She has BAWLA weightlifting qualifications and is a Level 3 personal Training instructor with Fit pro. Aside from competing and promoting the Octathalon, she also has a select group of private clients that come to her own 1:1 gym.

Mother of two teenagers, Jacqui's other hobbies include walking and running with her boxer dog in the Cotswold countryside in North Wiltshire.
