OCTATHALON TRAINER MANUAL
The Octathalon trainer manual contains everything a personal trainer needs to be able to run competent and effective Octathalon Induction classes. It also contains knowledge on how to create precise heart rate training programs that are tailored to individuals whether they are just looking to improve their health and fitness or whether an individual is leading up to running through an Octathalon course. The manual contains the archetypal countdown planner to an Octathalon event that is the foundation for all serious Octathaletes when they look to create their own training programs.
The manual also contains information on running & judging successful Octathalon events.
Added to all that there is extensive information on the mental side to training and fitness with techniques that you will find extremely useful taken from the fields of psychology and Neuro Linguistic Programming. (NLP).
It also includes nutritional information for optimum sporting performances with examples of what to avoid eating and why.
When the first group of Octathalon trainer trainers first read this manual, they all said how much is was useful to them in their personal training work and that upto 50 % of it was new to them and of that percentage nearly all it would be something they would use and be able to put into their normal one to one personal training work.
The Manual also contains all the information you will need to pass the practical assessment day and to produce a qualifying submission file for a full license.
Not everyone will be able to become an Octathalon Trainer and even if you know all there is to know, you will need to obtain role model status by being able to complete the Cup Octathalon course in under a certain time for you age every year. |
OCTATHALON INDUCTION HANDBOOK
The Octathalon Induction handbook is the first of a series of personalised training books that everyone will enjoy again and again.
Everyone doing an Induction class will have their own individual handbook in which there are 10 weeks of pre planned training sessions that are done each week in pairs and groups under the watchful guide of your facilitator - the Octathalon Trainer. The Trainer will demonstrate correct style and form and will set you taiored heart rate and strength programs for you to do in between the weeks sessions. The induction course handbook forms the basis of a training diary for you and your trainer to work with to help you get the most out of your training.
The Induction classes represent a fantastic way to enter into the gym environment in a safe and healthy way with the added benefit of your own personal instructor but not at personal one to one prices.
If you are look to really improve your current level of health and fitness, the induction handbook, along with the precise plans your trainer will be setting you, will push you just the right amount at the right time.
Not only is the hand book planned in such a way there is the goal of running through an Octathalon course at the end of the 10 weeks, but you will also be able to see gradual improvement throughout the 10 week period with the clever summary sheets that are set out at the end of the book and this will help keep your motivation levels high all the way through the course. At the end of the 10 course, if you are doing the club or cup course, you will gain an Official Octathalon handicap and that will allow you to enter the local club events between other local clubs.
Having completed your first induction handbook, you could even do the whole thing again it is that flexible and it will still push you just the right amount even now you are fitter and healthier as the book was designed to accommodate all parties with the help of a fully qualified Octathalon trainer.
